Mitch Hoover

MitchHooverWith 35+ years training and coaching in the horse industry, Mitch’s background runs the gamut from ranching and running cattle in some of the most rugged Northwest terrain to competing in the performance arena on seasoned all-around horses produced in his own training programs.

His lifetime Championship and All-Around Cowboy awards span a variety of western disciplines including team and ranch roping, AQHA versatility ranch and stock horse, extreme mountain trail and cowboy challenges and working stock-dog events.  After competing successfully in AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse, he helped form the Western States Stock Horse organization, an affiliate of the ASHA.  Sitting in as vice-chair for the first three years, he now focuses on teaching the event clinics, showing and is a current ASHA approved judge.

With this practical experience, he and his wife of twenty years, JoLinn, passionately combine their dedication to horsemanship with helping and encouraging other riders by focusing intently on developing student performance through their teaching and coaching and DVD training programs.

Mitch looks forward to carrying his motto “Working Horses that Perform; Performance Horses that Work”  into Cowboy Dressage and is excited for what it has to offer towards developing horse-rider relationships, but more importantly, for what it has to offer in developing people relationships!
